FAQs
How private and peaceful is the location?
Brigsteer is a tiny village on the edge of the Lyth Valley. While it is only 20 mins drive from J36 of M6 the only real traffic noise come from the occasional tractors.
It is a private and quiet setting for a truly relaxing stay
What utilities are included in the accommodation?
The Barn has a well stocked kitchen with oven, induction hob, grill, dishwasher, washing machine and all the utensils needed. The Pod has a kitchenette with hob, multi cooker, fridge kettle and toaster.
Both properties have wifi, underfloor heating and exclusive-use outdoor spaces.
Both accommodations have free private parking and there is a charging point for electric cars
Is Willow Tree Barn and Pod suitable for families, couples or remote workers?
Both properties are suitable for couples and remote workers. The Barn is also suitable for families, and renting both properties extends the accommodation further.
The Barn has a cot and high chair available with stair gate at the bottom of the stairs.
So whether it's romantic breaks, meeting up with friends, family stays, a base for exploring the Lake District or a quiet location for working away, both Willow Tree Barn and Pod have it all.
How close is the property to Lake District attractions and walks?
We are 10 minutes drive from Kendal, 20 minutes from Lake Windermere and 20 minutes from Grange Over Sands on the northern edge of Morecambe Bay.
You can do fabulous walks from our door or hop in the car to explore further afield.
We are set away from the busy tourist hubs but they are easily accessible to us.
Can dogs stay?
We love dogs and have two of our own. We welcome well-behaved dogs and can accommodate two in the Barn and one in the Pod for a small extra charge of £25 per dog.
We do have high quality furnishings and fin both accommodations so we operate a Paws on the Floor policy and ask that guests do keep their furry friends downstairs in the Barn.
The Barn has an enclosed garden and the walks from the door mean your canine friends will have plenty of exercise. We just ask you to be mindful of the fact this is a sheep farming area with livestock that doesn't always respect boundaries and can sometimes be found wandering around on the road.
